Chris Sells Testifies About Open-Source in Government

Chris Sells writes:

My testimony against the first state law to mandate that open source software be preferred over proprietary source software. Bottom line: I was against it and the chairman of the committee at the open hearings seemed to agree with me. [sellsbrothers.com: Windows Developer News]

Nice job Chris. I agree with you on this. There is nothing wrong with open source, but mandating that government employees (luckily it is just Oregon at this point) justify why their use of proprietary software is better than open-source is rediculous.
